We have years of experience dealing with the Encinitas planning department. The unique growth needs of this coastal hamlet, combined with coastal commission requirements, makes development requirements a bit higher.  

To see some of Hauser Houses work in Encinitas, you need look no further than the iconic Concession Stand at Moonlight Beach where we completed a restaurant renovation in April, 2009 for the city of Encinitas.  The plumbing, electrical and stucco were all upgraded within budget.  A tiki and bamboo feel was weaved into the interior, to give a Hawaiian feel to the newly remodeled snack stand.  Hauser Houses hand-made the new counter tops, windows, and door treatments throughout the stand.  Working with local resin artist Finn Madsen, Hauser Houses was able to make the front counter have a surfboard resin top, that is easily refinished and very clean.  Underneath the resin sits historic photos of the city of Encinitas, specifically the earliest photos of Moonlight Beach.  

We are working on a green roof garden off Stratford Drive in Encinitas in 2009, which includes a roof top deck that doubles as a growing ground for plants.  This newly discovered green roofing technique reduces heating & cooling bills.  To see our some of our extensive deck building experience, check out Barrles & Branches Nursery, where Hauser Houses completed the top viewing deck at the nursery in mid 2008.

More About Encinitas

Encinitas is located in North County San Diego, between Solana Beach to the south, and Carlsbad to the North.  Encinitas is a quiet surf community defined by our historic highway 101 corridor. 

Some of the best attractions in Encinitas include Moonlight Beach and Quail Botanical Gardens, both right off Encinitas Blvd, off of I5.  The world class botanical garden boast a giant bamboo garden, waterfalls, and natives.  Encinitas was named flower capitol of the world, and greenhouses still dot the landscape.

Encinitas consists of Leucadia, Olivenhain, and Cardiff-by-the-Sea, along with Encinitas proper.  There are two business districts defined by Highway 101 on the West, supporting our historic section of town; the other district is new Encinitas defined by El Camino Real.  The population of this coastal hamlet is roughly 60,000 people.
